    The Utah Department of Health submitted an amendment to their section 1115 demonstration to provide dental services for Medicaid-eligible adults with disabilities or blindness. The federal comment period will be open from February 21, 2017 through March 23, 2017.
  • Primary Care Network (modified: 2 years ago)
    On August 18, 2016, Utah submitted an application to CMS to extend the state's section 1115 demonstration, entitled "Primary Care Network," which provides health care coverage for various low-income populations, for five years. The request also includes a number of changes to the demonstration which would allow the state to: waive the Institutions of Mental Diseases (IMD) Medicaid exclusion, terminate the existing waiver of Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) for 19 and 20 year olds covered under the demonstration, implement mental health parity for the Current Eligibles, and provide health care coverage for childless adults with incomes at zero percent of the federal poverty level (FPL) who are chronically homeless, involved in the justice system or in need of substance use or mental health treatment. The federal public comment period will be open from August 19, 2016 to September 17, 2016.

    Utah is requesting to extend their Primary Care Network Demonstration through 2016. This demonstration provides coverage for primary health care services to certain able-bodied adults, and to expand coverage options for children who are eligible for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The federal public comment period will be opened from January 13, 2016 through February 12, 2016.
  • Utah Primary Care Network - August 2017 Amendment Request (modified: 1 year ago)
    On August 16, 2017, the State of Utah submitted an amendment to their section 1115 demonstration, "Primary Care Network." The state is requesting the authority to make a number of changes to varying demonstration populations, including implementing enrollment caps, imposing work requirements and lifetime limits on eligibility, ending presumptive eligibility, applying the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) waiver to Targeted Adults, and charging a higher copay for non-emergency use of the emergency department. In addition, the state requests the ability to change the eligibility requirements for certain demonstration populations through state administrative rule. The federal comment period will be open from August 31, 2017 through September 30, 2017.
  • Utah Primary Care Network - June 29th Amendment Request (modified: 5 months ago)
    On June 21, 2018, the State of Utah submitted an amendment to their section 1115 demonstration, "Primary Care Network." The state is requesting the authority to (1) add dental benefits for the Targeted Adult Medicaid beneficiaries who are receiving substance use disorder (SUD) treatment; (2) provide family planning services for men and women, ages 19-64, who have incomes at or below 95 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL) and are not otherwise eligible for Medicaid; and (3) provide crisis stabilization services to at-risk Medicaid-eligible children with significant emotional and/or behavioral challenges under the age of 22. The federal comment period will be open from July 12, 2018 through August 11, 2018.
