    Oregon has requested to amend its Oregon Health Plan (OHP) demonstration to extend its current authority to make supplemental payments to support participating IHS facilities (including participating tribal health facilities operating under the Indian Self Determination and Education Assistance Act 638 authority) for: 1) uncompensated care costs for primary care services on the prioritized list which are no longer funded, that were restricted or eliminated from the Medicaid state plan effective January 1, 2010 for non-pregnant adults enrolled in Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan); and 2) uncompensated care costs for primary care services on the prioritized list which are no longer funded, provided to uninsured individuals. The federal public comment period will be open from March 10, 2015 through April 9, 2015.

    Oregon requests an extension to their section 1115(a) demonstration for a five year period from July 2017 through June 30, 2022. With the waiver renewal and amendment, Oregon seeks to build on their Medicaid delivery system transformation with an expanded focus on integration of physical, behavioral, and oral health through a performance-driven system, address social determinates of health and improve health equity, commit to ongoing sustainable rate of growth that includes the 2 percent test, and expand the coordinated care model by implementing innovative strategies for providing high-quality, cost-effective, person-centered health care for Medicaid and Medicare dual eligible members. The federal comment period will be open from September 1, 2016 through October 1, 2016.
  • Oregon Health Plan: Evaluation and HTPP Extension Amendment (modified: 4 years ago)
    Oregon requests two amendments to the Oregon Health Plan section 1115 demonstration. The first amendment request is to extend the deadline for the interim evaluation report from March 31, 2016 to June 30, 2016 to ensure the data are complete to meet the requirements. The second amendment request is to extend the Hospital Transformation Performance Program (HTPP) and incentive payments for an additional year through June 30, 2017 to continue health system transformation. The federal public comment period will be open from September 21, 2015 through October 20, 2015.
