    Florida is submitting an amendment to implement a pilot program that provides additional behavioral health services and supportive housing assistance services for persons aged 21 and older with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorder (SUD) or SMI with co-occurring SUD, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to their disability. The federal public comment period will be open from November 15, 2016 through December 15, 2016.

    On April 27, 2018, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration submitted an amendment to the Florida Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) Program demonstration. Florida proposes to modify the Low Income Pool (LIP) to add Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers as an eligible hospital ownership subgroup effective State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2017/18, community behavioral health providers as a participating provider group effective SFY 2018/19, and eliminate the three-month Medicaid retroactive eligibility period for non-pregnant recipients aged 21 years and older effective July 1, 2018. The federal public comment period will be open from May 4, 2018 through June 5, 2018.

    On April 12, 2018, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration submitted an amendment to the Medicaid Coverage for the Prepaid Dental Health Program section 1115 demonstration. The proposed amendment will allow the state to operate a statewide Medicaid prepaid dental health program (PDHP). The federal public comment period will be open from April 30, 2018 through May 28, 2018.

These groups are Medicaid-eligible recipients residing in group home facilities licensed under section(s) 393.067 Florida Statutes (F.S.), and children receiving Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) services. The federal public comment period will be open from December 5, 2014 through January 4, 2015.

    Florida is submitting a request for a 5-year extension of its Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) section 1115 demonstration. The MMA program improves health outcomes for Medicaid recipients through care coordination, patient engagement and improved access to care. The state is not proposing any substantive changes in the extension of the MMA demonstration which includes: the MMA program, LIP program, Healthy Start program, Program for All Inclusive Care for Children and Comprehensive Hemophilia program. The federal public comment period will be open from January 13, 2017 through February 12, 2017.

    Florida submitted a request to amend their Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) 1115 demonstration. The purpose of the amendment request is to: (a) allow the state flexibility to contract with 1-3 vendors under the hemophilia program; (b) include payment for nursing facility services in MMA capitation rates for recipients under the age of 18 years; and (c) allow flexibility for specialty plans to conduct Performance Improvement Projects (PIP) on topics that will have more impact on their enrollees. The federal public comment period will be open from April 6, 2016 through May 6, 2016.

    Florida has requested to amend its Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) demonstration to redesign the Low Income Pool (LIP) and extend the program until June 30, 2017. Florida states that the newly redesigned LIP will ensure access to care for low income populations that are not eligible to participate in Medicaid or other subsidized coverage programs. The request is in response to discussions with CMS about how best to structure the pool in light of new and different coverage opportunities for low income Floridians. The Federal public comment period will be open from May 28, 2015 through June 27, 2015.

    Florida has requested to amend its Managed Medical Assistance (MMA) demonstration to assign Medicaid-eligible individuals who are mandated to participate in Florida's MMA program to a managed care plan immediately after eligibility determination. The state is requesting an effective date of September 1, 2015. Under the proposed amendment, individuals will receive both their managed care plan assignment and information about the managed care plan choices in their area, to encourage an active selection, immediately after eligibility determination. During the initial 30-day period post-enrollment, if a recipient decides to change plans, the change will take effect the first day of the following month. The Federal public comment period will be open May 19, 2015 through June 18, 2015.
